Assistant Production Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to run day-to-day operations on our production floor. You will own shift-level output, manpower, and reporting, making sure daily and hourly targets are met without compromising on quality or safety.
This is a hands-on floor role you will be on your feet for most of the shift, walking the line, resolving issues in real time, and keeping your team motivated and accountable.
Because production output directly drives the company's revenue and delivery commitments, this role carries real pressure and visibility, and the person in it needs to combine strong people leadership with calm, fast problem-solving. You will coordinate constantly with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to unblock the line, and will be expected to escalate the right issues to the right people at the right time. This role reports into the Production function and is a natural path toward Deputy Manager or Production Manager responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production floor and lead shift operations end-to-end
- Ensure daily and hourly production targets are achieved
- Plan and manage manpower allocation across the shift, including absenteeism backup
- Prepare and submit hourly and daily production reports to management
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to resolve floor issues quickly
Must Have
- 4-6 years of experience in production floor management/supervision
- Experience managing shift manpower
- Strong ownership of daily/hourly targets and reporting
- Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices
- Monitor line efficiency, quality, and safety compliance on the floor
Nice to have
- Experience in electronics/inverter assembly manufacturing
- Exposure to lean manufacturing/5S practices
- Prior experience with hourly/daily reporting systems or ERP
- Strong analytical skills
